Rocket Turrets are defensive buildings that fire rockets at incoming ground and air enemies. They target and deal the most damage to light vehicles, but are not as effective against large amounts of infantry and heavily armored infantry.

Strategy[]

Mass infantry[]

The Rocket Turret's rockets deal the most damage to lightly armored units. However, they can be overwhelmed by large numbers of infantry because they only fire one rocket at a time. Therefore, one strategy to destroy Rocket Turrets is to deploy lots of infantry to take them out before sending in vehicles.

Bruiser infantry[]

Rocket Turrets are also not as effective against bruiser infantry. Screening light vehicles with Wookiee Warriors or Phase II Dark Troopers can prevent the vehicles from taking a lot of damage or being destroyed by Rocket Turrets during the battle.

Shield defense[]

Some light vehicles deal significant damage to shields, which can be countered using Rocket Turrets. By placing one or two rocket turrets near the edge of a shield, shield-devastating vehicles can be taken out quickly.

Other turrets[]

Because Rocket Turrets are vulnerable to masses of infantry and bruisers, placing Burst Turrets and Mortar Turrets within range of Rocket Turrets can fend off these opponents and protect the Rocket Turrets.

Appearance differences by level[]

Level 1[]

Level 1 Rocket Turrets stand on a thin base, with another, thicker, base on top. Two launchers with slots to hold rockets sit atop a part extending from the base. The launchers do not have any armor except for two plates sticking up on the outside.

On the Rebel turret, the thin base is circular and a dark red color and the thicker one is tan. The launchers are dark gray with accents that are the same color as the base.

The entire Imperial turret is a light gray color, with varying shades throughout. The thin base is and dark gray, while the thick base is a near-white gray. The color of the launchers is in between the shades of the two bases.

Level 2[]

Level 2 Rocket Turrets are similar to the Level 1 turrets in that they still have two bases and two launchers. However, the Level 2 turrets have slanted pieces jutting out at every quarter of the perimeter of the thin base, and there is a little more armor around the launchers.

The slanted pieces on the Rebel turrets are the same dark red color as the thin base, and the accents on the armor on the launchers are red as well.

On the Imperial turrets, the dark gray from the thin base can be seen in the slanted pieces as well as rectangular pieces armor on the top and side of both launchers.

Level 3[]

Level 3 Rockets Turrets are similar to Level 1 and Level 2 turrets. The bases are the same except there are slanted pieces at every eighth of the perimeter of the thin base, rather than every quarter. The armor around the launchers is thicker and longer.

The Level 3 Rebel turrets have the same color scheme as the Level 1 and Level 2 turrets. The accents on the launchers and the slanted pieces on the base are dark red.

The Level 3 Imperial turrets are varying shades of gray like the Level 1 and Level 2 turrets. The added armor on the launchers and the slanted pieces on the base are dark gray.

Level 4[]

Level 4 Rocket Turrets differ greatly from its predecessors. The previously thin base becomes much thicker, while the base on top becomes very thin. The armor on the launchers becomes thicker and more solid as well.

On the Rebel turrets, the launchers are dark gray with dark red armor and green accents. The bottommost base is dark red, while the base on top of it is a redder tan compared to the yellowish tan on the previous turrets.

The dark gray of bottomost base and the launchers on Imperial turrets is darker than before, and the launchers are light blue.

Level 5[]

Level 5 Rocket Turrets are the same as the Level 4 turret except that they have slanted pieces at every quarter of the perimeter of the base. There is also more armor added onto the plates on the sides of the launchers.

The slanted pieces and new armor on the Rebel turrets are green like the accents on the launchers.

On the Imperial turrets, the slanted pieces and the new armor are light blue like the launchers.

Level 6[]

Level 6 Rocket Turrets are similar to the Level 4 and Level 5 turrets, except that they have a small piece protruding from the base in between the pieces that were already there, and the armor on the plates from the previous level wraps around the side of the launcher.

On the Rebel turrets, the new pieces on the base and the armor around the launchers are green. A small section of the launcher armor is a screen displaying three light green circles.

The Imperial turrets have the light blue color continuing in the launcher armor and the pieces on the base. In the middle of the plates on the launchers, there is a screen with a red square.

Level 7[]

Level 7 Rocket Turrets have wider bases that envelop the pieces sticking out from the bases previously. There is also a significant amount of added armor on the launchers.

The bottommost base is white, and the thinner base on top is green on the Rebel turrets. The launchers themselves are still gray, but they are surrounded in cylindrical green armor with red accents and a glowing green circle in the middle.

On the Imperial turrets, the bottommost base is black with three connected red lines on every other side of the octagon. The base on top is light blue like the launchers. The armor on the launchers is made of two trapezoids on each side that stick outwards and are connected by a light blue circle.

Level 8[]

Level 8 Rocket Turrets are just like Level 7 turrets except that they have more armor around the launchers and pieces sticking out from the base at every quarter of the perimeter with lit-up rectangles in between. The second-bottommost base also becomes thicker.

On the Rebel turrets, the pieces protruding from the base are split into three white half-arches that glow light green underneath. The rectangles in between are also light green. On the launchers, the circle in the middle is outlined with red.

The pieces coming out of the base on the Imperial turrets are divided into three black parallelogram-shaped prisms that glow red underneath. The rectangle in the middle of these pieces and a line that goes through the middle of the light blue circle on the launchers also glow red.

Level 9[]

Level 9 Rocket Turrets have a substantial amount of armor on the launchers compared to previous turrets. The bottommost base is thicker than before, but the base on top of it is thinner. The pieces coming out of the bottommost base are incorporated into it, making the base more solid.

On the Rebel turrets, the dark red color that was prominent previously is only present on the armor on the launchers. A whited teardrop-shaped plate is on the outside of each launcher, and the lit-up green circle in the middle is larger than before. The three half-arches dividing the base into quarters from the Level 8 turrets have combined into one with three green lights in the middle. In between each one, there is a green light bordering an elevated part of the base.

The trapezoidal plates on the launchers on the Imperial turrets are split into two halves, making four plates per launchers. The red light going through the middle of the light blue circle connecting the plates is larger and is circular in the center. In addition, the two of the slots for the rockets on each launcher are longer than the other two, and all eight slots glow red in the center. On the base, the prisms sticking out of the base are joined into one and have transformed into three steps with a red light on each step.

Level 10[]

On Level 10 Rocket Turrets, the two separate bases that were present previously are combined into one tall, thick base. Both launchers are armored much more heavily compared to the Level 9 turrets.

Level 10 Rebel turrets have little-to-none of the red color that was prominent previously. The three green lights on the pieces sticking out of the base have shrunken, and there is a screen above them. The green lights bordering the elevated part of the base no longer appear. On the launchers, the armor and plates on the launchers is larger and bulkier. The green circles in the middle bordering a round green light on the plates are gone, and there is a linear green light sticking out from the circular one.

The split trapezoidal plates on the launchers on the Imperial turrets are joined together again like they were previously, so there are two plates for each launcher. However, the tops of the plates are now tilted away from the turret rather than towards it. The light blue circle connecting the plates has become black, and the red light in the center is larger. The slots for rockets are all the same length and are all inside of a black block with glowing red accents, unlike Level 9 turrets. On the base, there are small lit-up red pieces in between the stair-like parts that were already there.

Trivia[]

  • In most of the Rocket Turret description images, the launchers are facing southeast. However, the Level 10 Rebel Rocket Turret image is the only one that faces southwest.
  • Although the game description says that Rocket Turrets are most effective against "hardened targets," they are not very effective against bruiser infantry and are less effective against bruiser vehicles compared to other classes of vehicles.
